GUEST SPEAKER: Bishop Patrick Yu

Bishop Yu is the Area Bishop for the York-Scarborough area in the Diocese of Toronto, with oversight of 55 parishes and five ministries. He graduated from Wycliffe College in Toronto in 1981 and served as an assistant curate at the Church of the Epiphany in Scarborough until 1983. He was incumbent of the parish of Coldwater-Medonte until 1990, then incumbent of St. Theodore of Canterbury until 1997.

He received a Doctor of Ministry degree in 1997 from the Toronto School of theology. His thesis, "Being Christian in a Multi-Faith Context" was republished as a book in 2013. He was the incumbent of St. Timothy, Agincourt from 1997 until his election as bishop on Jan 7, 2006.
